You don’t need to be a professional writer. You do need to have something worthwhile to say.
We’re interested in thoughtful, educational and practical content around personal growth, self-awareness, human behaviour, relationships, nervous system awareness, emotional wellbeing, spirituality, energy awareness and related topics.
Guest Post Requirements
To keep the site useful and consistent, all guest posts must meet the following requirements:
- Minimum 1,000 words. Longer articles are welcome when the topic needs more explanation.
- Content must be helpful, educational or informative, rather than simply promoting a product or service.
- Articles should be original content and not copied from another website.
- Include at least two relevant images that you have permission to use.
- Use clear headings and short paragraphs so the article is easy to read.
- Add relevant WordPress tags before submitting your article.
- Include an SEO meta description of approximately 150–160 characters.
- Your article should have a clear title that accurately describes what the reader will learn.
- Please proofread your article before submitting it.
- Any claims, statistics or research mentioned should link to a reliable source where appropriate.
- Excessive promotional links, affiliate links or unrelated backlinks will not be accepted.
Links to Your Website, Product or Service
You are welcome to include a relevant link back to your own:
- Website
- Business
- Product
- Service
- Course
- Social profile
The link should make sense within the article or your contributor bio rather than being added purely for SEO purposes.
We Help Your Article Become Part of the Site
Your article won’t simply be published and forgotten.
Once published, it will be incorporated into the Discover Your Soul Self internal linking system.
This means we may:
- Add links from your article to other useful and related articles on Discover Your Soul Self.
- Add links from existing or future articles back to your guest post where relevant.
- Adjust headings, formatting and internal links so the article fits naturally within the site.
- Add your article to relevant categories and topic clusters.
This helps readers discover more useful information while also giving your article more opportunities to be found as the site continues to grow.
A Few Things We Don’t Accept
We won’t publish:
- Articles written purely to obtain a backlink.
- Thin or heavily promotional content.
- Copied or previously published articles.
- Articles filled with unrelated links.
- Content that doesn’t fit the general themes of Discover Your Soul Self.
- Automatically generated content that hasn’t been properly reviewed, edited and made genuinely useful.
Using AI to help organise, research or edit your writing is fine. We just want the finished article to contain your knowledge, experience or perspective, rather than being generic content created simply to fill a page.
